Estate sales explained
A practical guide to estate sales in Australia
An estate sale is a time-limited sale of many household items from one property, commonly after downsizing, moving or clearing an estate. Find Estate Sales helps people advertise and discover these local sales.
How buying works
- Search by suburb, postcode, sale title or item.
- Check the dates, area, catalogue and seller terms.
- Ask the seller a question before travelling if needed.
- Inspect the item and arrange payment and pickup directly.
How selling works
- Build the complete listing privately without an account.
- Add sessions, item cards, photos and an address privacy rule.
- Create an account only when you are ready to publish.
- Founder sellers list free forever; otherwise the configured flat listing fee is shown before payment.
Does Find Estate Sales handle buyer payments?
No. Buyers and sellers agree on item payment and pickup directly. Stripe is used only for seller listing and optional placement fees.
When is the address shown?
The seller chooses whether the exact address is shown immediately, released at a scheduled time, or never published. Public search data never contains an unreleased address.
